Paul Siguqa -Klein Goederust Wine Estate. The child of a farm labourer who became a wine farm owner
"I knew that there was a lot more out there, that one shouldn't be confined. Where you were born shouldn't confine you to that place," says Paul Siguqa, owner of Klein Goederust wine estate in Franschoek. "Social mobility was possible. I was taught from a young age that it is possible. But the only way that you can achieve social mobility is through education, which is something my mother was very passionate about, and still is. So I bought into the vision from a long time ago." Paul is telling the inspirational story of how he grew up as the son of a farm labourer and how his mother encouraged him to where he is now the owner of a wine farm. He is also talking about the different wines of this boutique wine estate and how he restored the buildings to their original style. Paul also have a goal to assist the young children of his farm labourers to get an education and to know that everything is possible.
