Director of Sling Aircraft, Mike Blyth: "I studied each aircraft, that I thought was a good aircraft, in detail; the sizing, the shape, the look of it, whatever I could get information of, the handling characteristics, the speed etc. From that I set out my list of wishes for this aircraft, and I strove to meet those list of wishes by designing the aircraft appropriately for that. So we started from scratch. Initially I just started sketching on a piece of paper, getting the feel of what I think it should look like and then slowly as time went on, it took shape."
