"I think an Artist must embrace his own story and uniqueness." Says Jaco Sieberhagen, who is the creator of the most beautiful Silhouette sculptures. "You don't have to be like anybody else. As soon as you embrace your own story, even if it's a bad story, or a difficult story, or a strange story, and except that you are unique, then rather look for your own unique eye and your own unique expression and you own unique sensitivity." Jaco is talking about how he uses his art to tell stories and start conversations. He sees himself as an artist who is always on a journey where sometimes things work and sometimes it doesn't. He decided that on his art journey, he would not allow himself to be intimidated by decisions he makes, but rather to just do it.
