"It's a fascinating process and it's once a year that you get this chance," says Hein Koegelenberg, CEO and Winemaker at La-Motte wine estate. "So as a winemaker you must take your chances and make sure you get all your information and do your research and be spot on to identify the vintage and the trend in the vintage and then make a special wine." Hein is talking about the way winemaking is creative and how much climate, soil, timing and processes of harvesting and fermentation affects the wine. He also mentions that, apart from winemaking, as a family they share their passion and love for art, food conservation and sustainability as part of the La-Motte experience.
