Elzabe Zietsman - Actress, Singer - I just want to perform, that's all.
"This year is my 40th year on stage, " says actress and singer, Elzabe Zietsman, "and the commitment that you have to have to your art, to have been on the stage for 40years in South Africa is huge, because there is so little work that all of us basically have to do other stuff to stay alive, to keep the pot on the stove. That kind of commitment, I do not think the public understand." Elzabe is talking about how small theatres in South Africa disappeared and the way artists have to create opportunities for themselves to be able to pursue their artistic careers. She is passionate about acting and is well known in South Africa for doing Cabaret. Elzabe is also talking about her new show called 'Femme is Fatal' which is raising awareness to the plight of woman in our society. In ‘Femme is Fatale’ a brand new one-woman cabaret, Elzabé Zietsman gets onto the case of this scourge using song and story telling to get to the bottom of this ‘other epidemic’ which is threatening to devour the very fabric of South African society.
