David K Israel - Composer, Author, Screenwriter, Director: "...and so Stravinsky harmonised it for 4 voices and gives that manuscript back to Mr Balanchine. I got a copy of it in the 90's from Harvard Library where a lot of Stravinsky and Balanchine's personal effects and manuscripts lived. I started thinking, this is so lovely and the idea that one master had given it to his friend, another master in another discipline, and that Stravinsky had harmonised it and given it back. It just seemed like it was begging to be something larger."
