Carolina Mazalesky - The Slackline violinist - What balance training is teaching musicians
The Slackline-violinist, Carolina Mazalesky says: "Music making is about performing. It's about the moment of the 'now'. This strong 'Being in the now' and the strong concentration of what we are doing, this we are not practicing. We are practicing to play the violin but we don't practice how to concentrate and we don't practice how to perform. This is exactly what the balance training is teaching you. Because when I am standing on a slackline and one second I would be thinking about Pizza or about what somebody else is thinking, I will fall down. So my concentration, when I am in a state of balance is 150%."
